The worth of any model depends on the condition of the model, how rare it is and what collectors are willing to pay for that particular model. The best way to determine what your model is worth is to search on eBay for recent sold listings of that particular model. This will give you a good idea as to what your model is worth.
Yes, I do buy collections. Just please keep in mind that since I will be buying to resell the models, I can not pay you the going retail rate so please don't be offended if you think I am lowballing you on prices.
I do keep a list of models that customers are looking for, be it a specific model or mold. If I find the model or happen to purchase it in a collection buyout, I will notify you first before publicly listing the model for sale. I also keep wish lists for customers to help out their families, significant others, co-workers, etc. to help you get the models you are looking for.
Breyer FAQ
Breyer models are collectors items, and often producted in limited quanity. Breyer does not have input on what retailers list them at, and it will vary quite a bit depending upon the rarity and quality of the model.
A mold is the body of the horse or animal, and the model is the finished piece that you identify by name or color. For example, a mold will be created for a specific horse such as Big Ben - but models will be painted from this mold. You'll find that models were created based on the Big Ben mold for Big Ben, Stormchaser, and Appropos! They have the same body - but they are painted differently.
Nope - it's a feature, not a bug! That is called the "breathing hole." Models are made of plastic, and plastic can expand over time - especially if they are exposed to heat. that hole gives the plastic room to expand a bit and prevent warping.
